An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a progressive organisation steeped in history. This is a key managerial position, best suited to someone with experience of financial and management reporting, who can also manage a small team.

The main purpose of the role is to maintain and improve financial controls, produce monthly management accounts, and support with financial planning and budgeting.

Duties:

  • Management of the finance team and resolve any queries
  • Produce the monthly management accounts and associated reports
  • Actively contribute to the production of budgets and forecasts
  • Oversee the correct preparation and submission of VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
  • Support stake holders at varied levels regarding financial matters to ensure budgets and forecasts remain robust and assist in preparation of timely financial reports
  • Supporting and implementing robust processes in finance operations, with a continuous improvement led culture

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience is key / qualifications desirable (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA)
  • Experience of financial and management reporting and budgeting
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong IT skills, including MS office products, and in particular Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Personable, supportive, and able to motivate a team
