Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Part Time Finance Manager to work within a small, growing business based in Derby.
The role will fall across 3 days and will be based on site. Hours/ days are flexible to suit the individual.
Duties of the role will include:

Accurate management and reporting of the finances for both businesses

Collate and present accurate monthly management accounts for both businesses

To complete assigned balance sheet and restricted funds reconciliations to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial reporting

Reconcile and prepare ongoing Profit & Loss accounts

To prepare designated month-end and year-end journal adjustments to agreed deadlines, including accruals and prepayments for annual audits

Carry out ad-hoc, weekly & monthly finance reviews with budget holders

Assist budget holders in managing their budgets and provide them with the necessary support to ensure expenditure is monitored throughout the year and that appropriate action is taken on a timely basis

Preparation of schedules for year-end statutory accounts for audit purposes

Liaise with auditors during annual accounting audit

Entering orders into Sage (daily task)

Hands-on bookkeeping duties and day to day invoicing - Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

Managing two business bank accounts

Chasing debtors and ensuring all creditors are paid in timely manner

Identifying key trends in income and expenditure by department / activity program and significant variances from budget

Investigating unusual or unexpected departmental and activity results or variances and to bring these to the attention of the MD

Checking out fraud checks for outgoing payments

Assisting colleagues in applying for Research and Development tax credits

Support budget holders in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
-
Fully qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA
-
Experience working in small business essential

Strong excel skills
-
Experience working with Sage would be an advantage

Hands on, strong stakeholder management
