About the business

Our client is undergoing a major transformation following a strategic review, with significant changes in finance, technology, and customer interaction. As part of this evolution, we are replacing legacy finance and billing systems, modernising payment processes, and redefining our operational model to support technology-enabled care homes and housing with care.

The Role

We are seeking a Project Lead to play a key role in the transformation programme, ensuring finance remains at the heart of change initiatives. Reporting to the Finance Director and having a dotted line into the Director of Transformation and Change, this role will lead finance involvement across three core projects:

  1. Core Finance System Replacement - Overhauling the central finance system to enhance efficiency and reporting.
  2. Care Home & Housing Billing Transformation - Implementing a new billing system to streamline payments and customer interactions.
  3. Property & Repairs Accounting Integration - Developing a solution to improve financial oversight of repairs and maintenance.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expertise in finance transformation, system migration, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will act as the finance representative across these projects, ensuring alignment between finance, IT, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead finance transformation across multiple workstreams, ensuring finance requirements are met.
  • Act as the key finance representative within the programme, engaging with IT, external vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee finance system migration, working closely with internal teams and 3rd party providers (One Advanced).
  • Support change management by providing financial expertise to non-finance colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and the Associate Director of IT to ensure smooth system implementation.
  • Ensure finance best practices are embedded in all new systems and processes.

Key Requirements

? Finance Expertise: Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with experience in finance transformation.? Project Experience: Strong track record in finance system replacements, billing transformation, and payment modernisation.? Change Management: Ability to support and guide colleagues through major finance and operational change.? Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior finance leaders, IT teams, and external providers.? Project Methodologies: Exposure to PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, or similar frameworks.
