Hays are looking for experienced nursery practitioners to join the dedicated team of agency staff. We are supporting nurseries in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with both ad-hoc cover for sickness and annual leave, as well as longer-term vacancies supporting them consistently.Hays can offer you flexible work around your schedule, whether you are looking for part or full-time work.

Your new role

As a nursery practitioner, you will have a number of responsibilities, including:

  • Childcare: Ensuring the safety and welfare of children by supervising them during indoor and outdoor activities, and making sure they are clean, fed, and rested.
  • Education: Developing and delivering educational modules and creative activities that stimulate children's interests and aid their early learning.
  • Parental Communication: Regularly updating parents about their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Administration: Maintaining detailed records of each child's development and managing nursery supplies.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will be passionate about working with young children with experience in a nursery setting or similar. You must be proactive, able to use your initiative and an excellent communicator. You will ideally hold your childcare qualification, although this is not essential.
