Robertson Recruitment are looking for an experienced estimator with an engineering background to join our aerospace client based in Castle Donington. As an estimator you will be reporting to the commercial manager. You will be responsible for producing bid packages for new and existing projects in line with company procedures.
Estimator working hours
39 hours a week. Monday to Friday.
Start times are flexible.

Estimator duties
- Create new items/assemblies/routings/BoMs within the inhouse systems database
- Use of all relevant estimating software or spreadsheets
- Identify improvement activities to drive the estimating process
- Effective escalation of threats or blockers to the bid submission
- Work closely with engineering and customer service departments
- Maintain records of WIP, failed and won bid packages
- Creation of bid packages
Estimator skills
- Strong commercial, manufacturing and engineering background
- Ability to create method of manufacture for both development and production components
- Good understanding of quality requirements within the aerospace industry
- Knowledge of PFMEAs, DCMs, Control plans, inspection methods
- Knowledge of assembly techniques
- Proven and relevant cost estimating experience covering both manufactured parts, purchased parts and processing
