Leading name in the railway electrification sector requires an experienced SHEQ Manager to join their team, based in Derby.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies to all teams, provide HSQE advice and lead data collection team, giving accurate data to colleagues
  • Ensure there are sufficient resources, training and evaluation methods for team to safely deliver their work in a compliant manner
  • Understand environmental and safety risks, as well as the required controls to reduce them
  • Identify and put in place efficiency and quality improvement plans
  • Carry out audits to ensure HSQE compliance across the organisation
  • Lead site investigations if / when required
  • Play an active role in the implementation of Behavioural Safety and Culture Change Programme
  • Work closely with supply chain, ensuring effective communication on all HSQE matters

Requirements:

  • Experienced as an HSQE Manager / SHEQ Manager / Health and Safety Manager, within the rail, construction, highways or utilities sectors
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • IEMA certificate
  • Knowledge of operational safety issues
  • Strong appreciation of UK HSQE legislation
  • PTS
  • Understanding of processes within the railway industry
  • Driving licence
