Job title: Machinist

Location: Derby
Hours of work: 37 hours per week -
8 hour Shifts Monday-Friday Mornings, Afternoons and Nights
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning
- Understanding of drawing interpretations, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Siemens control system experience
- Experience with aerospace components
Role information:
- Work to technical instructions and program manuals to produce high-quality machining across a variety of components
- Operate a variety of inspection equipment including probing, micrometres and plug gauges
- Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications
- Assess whether produced components are up to required standards
