LG Engineering Solutions are recruiting an NDT Technician for a well-established business based in Derby. The company supply a comprehensive range of services to the rail industry including repair, overhaul, consultancy and training. They are open for the person to be based at their site in Derby or at their customers site in Warwickshire.

My client is currently experiencing exponential growth and due to this we are looking to strengthen their NDT team. You will be working closely with the NDT Lead, but you will possess the ability to work alone and make stand alone decisions. Are you currently working within NDT and are looking for a new challenge? Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out NDT on welds, materials and structures using nondestructive methods
  • Analyse, evaluate and interpret test results against industry standards
  • Use test data to compile accurate test reports and feedback to relevant people within the business
  • Maintain, set up and calibrate NDT equipment
  • Assist with administrative duties maintaining a high level of accuracy in your work
  • Travel to customers sites throughout the UK when required

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years experience within an NDT position
  • Current PCN Level 2 qualification in both MPI and DPI
  • PCN Level 2 in VT is desired but not essential as training can be provided
  • Full driving licence
  • The ability to travel to customer sites throughout the UK when required
