An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-motivated candidate to join an established business as Purchasing Lead.
The successful candidate will ideally be from a Manufacturing/Engineering background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To support the Customer Service and Supply Chain Manager in the efficient running of the sections
  • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved and to cover the role of the Supply Chain Manager as and when required.
  • To monitor the supply chain stock reduction plan to ensure all targets are achieved in line with the overall site stock reduction plan.
  • Participating in Quality & Engineering improvement activities
  • Responsible for the training and development of all team members
  • Ensuring the section is clean and tidy and maintaining any 5S programs running in that area and any concerns regarding health & safety are brought to the Supply Chain Managers attention.
Key Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, purchasing software, and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary £38- £40k dependent on experience
