Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in the Derby area for an experienced Senior Estimator. To be considered for this role, you must have experience in a sheet metal environment and ideally be experienced in secondary steel. Any experience in renewables / nuclear sectors would be highly desirable!

Responsibility and duties

  • Measuring and qualifying material from engineers and architect's drawings / specifications.
  • Developing cost estimating
  • Preparation of detailed quotations, pricing schedules and presentation documents
  • Establishing Budgets for the Commercial, Procurement and Project Teams.
  • Reviewing and advising on Proposed Client Contract Documentation.
  • Assisting in preparation of Handover Documentation
  • Reporting to the Sales Director & liaising with staff and clients at all levels as the role requires.
  • Maintaining and improving the quality of estimating techniques and processes.

Skills Required:

  • Must have a good understanding of technical drawings, construction methods and engineering principals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with clients, engineers and suppliers alike.
  • Excellent IT skills with sound knowledge of all MS Office programs essential.
  • Specific training will be provided in bespoke software.

This is subject to market knowledge, motivation levels and previous experience.

This is a permanent role directly with our client.
