Your new companyYou will be joining a high-profile and established main contractor based in Derby operating in the water sector. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work, being Severn Trent's preferred contractor for the delivery of their non-infrastructure works, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success and significant growth, they are looking to onboard a Senior Project Manager to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position with flexible/hybrid working.

Your new roleAs Senior Project Manager, you will be based out of their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Monitoring and reviewing financial and delivery performance on projects
  • Ensuring successful project delivery by liaising with delivery teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Creating and maintaining project programmes
  • Holding accountability for compliance and health and safety auditing
  • Approving invoices and ensuring payments are made within timescales
  • Managing a programme of works and a team of project managers.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Strong background in project management within the water industry and a strong understanding of operational activities
  • Financial awareness and ability to work to budgets
  • Sound understanding of NEC contracts
  • Ability to liaise effectively with key project stakeholders at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence.
