Site Agent
Our Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the resources associated with delivering a wide range of Infrastructure Projects and Capital Works, on the existing clean water network across with Nottingham/Derby, for our client, Severn Trent.
You will plan, manage and supervise operational teams as they carry out schemes and provide operational leadership ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our clients expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to the client.
Satisfaction of customers is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX. You will work closely with the client to influence the C-MeX measure and show leadership skills to genuinely care about the ratings customers give of Network Pluss Non-Core services.
You will work with the scheduling and planning team to ensure our Non-Core work is delivered on programme. You will be expected to communicate with customers who are impacted by our work, as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to have operational supervisory responsibility for water projects on the Non-Core Programme and the daily activities that take place on site.
We are looking for someone to organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absence management
We are looking for someone to manage all other resources e.g. materials, plant and our sub-contract partners.
We are looking for someone to ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs, as-builts and quality assurance exercises.
We are looking for someone to regularly visit teams at local site level reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards are adhered to at all times.
We are looking for someone to carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing the teams and supporting them in reaching their full potential.
We are looking for someone to complete team inspections as and when required and ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focus on quality and a right first-time operational delivery.
We are looking for someone to be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when they occur
Experience and Qualifications
Relevant Qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e. NRWSA at supervisory level
Health & Safety qualification an advantage
Experience of working in Utilities
Supervisor Street works qualification
Deep Excavation knowledge and experience
Good management skills
Financial and commercial awareness
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence
