- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- MBBS/MBChB and MRCP qualification
- Eligibility for entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of receiving a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR in Medicine for the Elderly at the time of the interview
- Five years of supervised training in an appropriate SpR-equivalent training program, with advanced clinical skills in Medicine for the Elderly
- Strong technical competence in geriatric medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in audit management
