Role Purpose

This is an initial 12 month FTC maternity cover role. The Outbound Sales Advisor will proactively engage with existing customers to maximise order retention, drive sales growth, and build lasting relationships. This role focuses on re-engaging lapsed accounts, identifying upselling opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to optimise customer satisfaction and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Conduct outbound calls to re-engage lapsed accounts, resolve order-related issues, and minimize inactive customer periods.
  • Upselling: Identify opportunities to introduce additional product lines, increasing order value and customer loyalty.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate customer data in HubSpot, ensuring visibility of account statuses, contact details, and order histories.
  • Indirect Account Management: Collaborate with third-party sales agencies to gather market feedback, manage sample orders, and track wholesaler performance.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee lease agreements and coordinate returns for underutilized assets, ensuring compliance with company processes.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and operational standards.

Success Metrics

  • Reduction in lapsed accounts and increased order frequency.
  • Growth in average order value through upselling.
  • Accuracy and completeness of CRM data.
  • Timely resolution of customer inquiries and equipment returns.

Skills & Experience

  • Essential:
    • Proven outbound sales experience, preferably in the foodservice or commercial food sector.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
    • Exceptional telephone communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into sales opportunities.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of foodservice distribution channels and wholesale dynamics.
    • Experience managing lease agreements or inventory systems.
