Job Title: Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Location: Based in Derby, covering commercial contracts in East Mids up to Manchester (van provided)
Salary: £14 per hour
Working Hours: Typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, minimum 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
About the Role:
Our client, a growing company in the facilities maintenance sector, is looking for a skilled and versatile Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This position is based in Derby and involves covering various facilities contracts throughout the East and West Midlands. You will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrics (basic electrical experience required, replacing of switches, sockets etc)
- Plumbing (wet plumb repairs and replacements)
- Perform minor plastering, decorating, and flooring repairs.
- Replace door handles, hang pictures and mirrors.
- Conduct minor works such as mounting skirting boards and doors.
- Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- UK licence with less than 4 minor points (due to insurance restrictions)
- Flexibility to travel across the East and West Midlands as required.
