Health and Safety Manager - DERBYSHIRE - Manufacturing - Low Tier Comah Site - Competitive Salary fully Dependent upon experience/relevance

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional looking for an exciting new challenge?Do you have a strong background in COMAH sites, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, or industrial manufacturing?

Can you lead and implement safety programs while fostering a strong safety culture?Are you personable, approachable, and capable of engaging with employees at all levels?

What You Need to Have
  • Proven experience in Health and Safety management, ideally with 5+ years in a COMAH site, chemical manufacturing, or defence sector. Other sectors can be considered.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • A professional qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of COMAH regulations preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field would be advantageous as well as relevant health and safety legislation knowledge

Preferred Backgrounds:

  • COMAH site experience (preferred).
  • Oil & Gas, Aerospace, or Defence Sector manufacturing.

About the Role

As Health and Safety Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance at the site, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing a proactive health and safety strategy.
  • Leading risk assessments and ensuring compliance with COMAH and HSE regulations.
  • Managing emergency response plans and delivering safety training programs.
  • Fostering a strong safety culture and engaging with employees at all levels.
