A reputable educational institution in Derby is seeking a dedicated Physics Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. The role involves teaching both GCSE Physics and Applied/T-Level Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education across 5 days, totalling 24 hours of teaching and an additional 4 hours for administrative duties.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in GCSE Physics and Applied/T-Level Science.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and attendance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
- A relevant Physics qualification or equivalent.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Proven experience in teaching Physics at various levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, organise, and manage time effectively.
