Job Summary:
Bookmark is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join our fantastic Primary Schools in Derby. The role is predominantly full-time, though part-time options are also available. Experience in schools or similar environments is essential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and ensuring a positive learning environment for students. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children. You’ll assist with classroom management, provide academic and pastoral support, and help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide both pastoral and academic support to pupils
  • Assist the class teacher with lessons, distribute materials, and monitor behaviour
  • Offer targeted support to pupils with special educational needs, such as ASD/Autism

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a school or similar environment
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
  • A caring and proactive attitude
  • DBS check (or willingness to apply)
