Full Time SEND Teaching Assistant
Salary: 425 - 500 per week
Location: South Derbyshire
About the Role:
You will be working within a friendly, supportive primary school, supporting a child in Year 3 with special educational needs. You will be responsible for following the child's EHCP, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive. You will assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities, promoting social interaction, and providing individualised care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to children with complex needs
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Care Plans
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to meet the needs of all students
- Supporting students with personal care, if required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly in EYFS
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and interventions
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable)
- Must have own transport due to travel between a SEND provision and the Primary School
