Career Teachers are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to support local primary schools in Derby City, Derbyshire, and Burton on Trent. This role offers the flexibility to choose your availability each week, making it ideal for those seeking a work-life balance. You will be providing general classroom support as well as 1:1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Offer 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and SENCOs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly with special educational needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
