We are currently recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at our Aerospace client's site in Allenton, Derby.

Client: A highly respected aerospace business, known for its innovative engineering and strong industry reputation.
Salary: 45,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Thurs: 8am-4:45pm, Fri: 8am-12:30pm)

Role Overview:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of parts, from design to production, ensuring process optimization and cost reduction across projects.
  • Lead a team of engineers (estimating, programming, and planning), driving continuous improvements in manufacturing processes.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Plan methods of manufacture and industrialization of new products, taking them from concept to delivery.
  • Tooling and subcontractor management: Identify tooling requirements and work closely with external subcontractors on quotes and solutions.
  • Cross-departmental support: Troubleshoot issues, support production, and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Documentation: Create route cards, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide the team.
