Lift Service Engineer Required

Pickerings Lifts is a national, well established, privately owned, independent, leading lift specialist with 170 years experience. Due to continued success and growth, we require aLift Service Engineerto cover Derby and the surrounding area.


The successful lift engineer will ideally have experience working with all types of lifts and controller manufacturers, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively. A qualification to NVQ 3 or equivalent is required.


Main duties will include

  • Carry out routine servicing, call outs and minor repairs, within a service route area, on all types of electrical and hydraulic goods, passenger and service lifts.
  • Efficiently complete maintenance schedules in accordance with agreed Service Contracts
  • Complete worksheets using company and customer systems.
  • Conform to and utilise best practice within Health and Safety at all times.
  • Required to participate in an On-Call Rota


Person Specification

  • Qualified to or above NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a lift maintenance
  • Be self-motivated, have great customer service skills and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • DBS Checks will be carried out due to the nature of some of customer sites
  • Ability to proficiently use a hand held device and interact with customer portals for real-time reporting
  • Willing and able to work as a team & participate in call out rota
  • Good communication skills are required
