Macildowie are seeking a Fleet Administrator for a logistics company in Derby. This role is ideal for a highly organised and efficient individual with a strong attention to detail, looking to play a key part in managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet administration, vehicle maintenance tracking, and supplier management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday).

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Please note that this role is a full-time, on-site position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate records of fleet vehicles, including licensing, insurance, MOT, and service schedules
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Monitor fleet performance, ensuring all vehicles are compliant with safety and legal requirements
  • Process fleet-related documentation, including tax, insurance, and registration details
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely servicing and maintenance of vehicles
  • Assist with fleet budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting
  • Track and manage vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and operational costs
  • Provide administrative support to the fleet management team
  • Assist with the coordination of fleet vehicles for scheduled jobs or client deliveries
  • Handle any fleet-related enquiries and support drivers with vehicle-related issues

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in fleet administration or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and vehicle compliance regulations
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance scheduling and supplier management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes
  • Experience in the transport or logistics sector is advantageous
