Are you experienced in heading up Procurement functions? Have you got experience in managing and coaching teams?

I’m delighted to be supporting a business based in Derby to recruit a Head of Procurement. This is a senior role within the business, giving you the reigns to drive strategy and growth across direct and indirect spend.

Key responsibilities:

• Development and delivery of contracting strategies.
• Lead negotiations and contract management with key suppliers.
• Drive cost saving initiatives and improve supplier performance.
• Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with the wider business objectives.
• Managing and coaching your procurement team.
• Assisting in the recruitment of new personnel.

Essential experience:

• Proven Procurement strategy experience, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Contract management experience
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Background of coaching/mentoring procurement teams
