Jenrick are working with a leading Food Manufacturer in Derby.

They require 1 x Site Based Maintenance Engineer and 1 x Field Service Maintenance Engineer. They're may be some crossover between the 2 roles.

  • Salary - £41,277.60
  • Shift - 6am to 3.30pm Mon-Fri

The Role

  • Provide engineering support to the business to ensure that it remains fully compliant with legislative standards
  • Provide technical support to the projects team whenever called upon
  • Follow Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Complete the scheduled PPM's as they arrive
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Ensure that the Retail Maintenance Manager is made fully aware of any maintenance issues which will significantly impact performance of the business
  • Identify critical spares for bakery equipment and procure approved spares from suppliers, ensuring that best value approach is adhered to
  • Focusing on a proactive approach towards manufacturing, to minimise the potential down time of equipment
  • Provide scheduled cover throughout the business to support production plans that minimises the requirement of call outs
  • Respond to breakdowns and work in partnership with operations to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently and to the standard required by the company
  • Develop planned preventative maintenance schedules for all key equipment / machinery
  • Proactively engage with all areas of the business to foster harmonious team working
  • Actively champion & adhere to Health & Safety / Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Mentor and provide support to apprentices within the business
  • Keep maintenance logs and report of daily activities
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, service partners and contractors and ensure best practice is adhered to
  • Conduct inspections of plant and equipment that maintain food safety integrity and health & safety compliance

Qualifications

  • 17th/18th Edition
  • Experience leading or commissioning projects
  • Food Hygiene Certification (preferred)
  • IOSH/NEBOSH (something simliar, preffered)
  • Working with PLCs
