Maintenance Engineer, £49170, Derby

Package includes : paid overtime (up to 2x) and a bonus scheme included. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and possibility to earn extra holiday with overtime hours. Pension contribution of up to 18%, life assurance and private healthcare.

3 shift rotation : 6-2, 2-10, 10-6

About the client

ATA are supporting a world class OEM in the automotive industry, who are looking to add multiple maintenance engineers to an already extensive team of over 3000 current employees over 2 sites. The client is one of the greatest producers in the automotive industry, producing over 5 million vehicles within 3 decades showcasing efficiency and production quality of the highest degree. The business is going through continuous growth, with a turnover of 2.9 billion euros through 2024 across the 2 sites. This is a brilliant opportunity to join the leader of automotive engineering and to be involved in the most efficient manufacturing procedures around the world.

What you'll be doing

As a maintenance engineer with our client, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of PLC controlled machinery, specifically set up to achieve maximum efficiency.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance
  • Reacting to breakdowns to ensure smooth and quick production
  • Project involvement across all parts of the production line, due to the size of the business.
  • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement, to further improve efficiency
  • Installation work dependent on department within the site, including machine installations.

What the client is looking for

To become a maintenance engineer with our client, you will need to be able to handle a fast-paced environment and all that comes with maintaining world class equipment in a demanding industry. You will need to adopt a learning mindset and look to improve your skills through the first-class training provided by our client, alongside a proactive state of mind and a fix right first-time mentality.

  • Multiskilled experience with either mechanical or electrical bias.
  • Apprentice trained and NVQ level 3 qualified.
  • Preferably some factory experience, but other industry experience is accepted alongside armed forces experience.
