We have a permanent opportunity available with AirLiquide UK. A specialist in supplying gases and equipment to industrial environments, the successful applicant will be someone that has a wealth of experience as a Mechanical Engineer and is familiar with COMAH related sites.
Role: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Air Liquide UK, Haslams Ln, Alfreton Rd, Darley Abbey, Derby DE22 1EB
(Travel to Grimsby as and when required, company van provided with fuel card)
Salary: 40-45,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00 (one hour lunch)
Start: ASAP
Responsibilities:

Performing maintenance in a timely manner as agreed with the production and sub contractor teams

Undertaking maintenance work as per procedure and best practice

Repairing and replacing parts on cryogenic pumps and industrial gas filling systems

Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly inspections

Using the computer maintenance management system
-
Communicating and reporting potential issues immediately

Writing reports on defects and recurring issues
-
Ensuring all safety and quality protocols are adhered to at all times

Providing information to support an effective capex process

Conducting safety walks and corrective measures
-
Using the Permit To Work system where required

Liaising and managing effectively relevant contractors
Essential Requirements:
-
Previous experience within the Industrial Gas, Chemical and/or Oil Industry

Experience and sound understanding of processes on COMAH related sites
-
Mechanical Engineering qualification, preferably time served apprenticeship and/or HND/HNC in an Engineering subject

Knowledge and previous experience with CMMS

Good knowledge of pressure safety systems, plant instrumentation and controls, electrical components and other necessary safety systems

Previous experience of Permit To Work systems and RAMS

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and upon own initiative

Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
Desirable requirements:

Compressor and cooling systems knowledge and experience

Experience navigating SAP and computer purchasing systems
-
PLC, SCADA and automation experience

NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
