Are you a Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a well known food manufacturer in Derby?

Working weekends (outlined below) and 2 days in the week - chosen by you! We are looking for someone with a strong maintenance background and a minimum of 17th/18th edition. If you have a food manufacturing background, this will be a bonus.

Offering a salary of 41K for 4 days a week (35 hours)

This is initially a FTC for 12 months with a view to a permanent position at the end.

Working Days + Hours:

Saturday - 6am - 3.30pm

Sunday - 9am - 3.30pm

X2 weekdays of your choice - just needs confirming each month with site

For instance you could work Thursday to Sunday one week and then Saturday to Tuesday the next week, giving you 6 days off between shifts

The Role

  • On Weekdays you will be based at the manufacturing facility and weekends will involve traveling to their retail premises in Derbyshire to fix any machinery within the shops
  • Provide technical support to the projects team whenever called upon
  • Follow Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Complete the scheduled PPM's as they arrive
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Ensure that the Retail Maintenance Manager is made fully aware of any maintenance issues which will significantly impact performance of the business
  • Focusing on a proactive approach towards manufacturing, to minimise the potential down time of equipment
  • Provide scheduled cover throughout the business to support production plans that minimises the requirement of call outs
  • Respond to breakdowns and work in partnership with operations to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently and to the standard required by the company

Suitable Candidate:

  • Apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer - either bias
  • Electrical qualifications - 17th / 18th edition as a minimum
  • Experience of working within a food manufacturing business previously would be advantageous
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work within a team and alone
  • Full UK Driving Licence
