Package includes: Bonus 15%, Matched pension 4%, Death in service x 4 Years Basic Salary 25 days Holidays + Bank Holidays

ATA Recruitment is working with a well-established FMCG company in the Derbyshire region who are looking to hire an experienced engineering manager to support with the growth of their engineering division. The group who have been an large employer in the area for the past 20 years are at a transformational part of their journey and require a manager with a strong maintenance background to take control of the department and lead cultural changes. The development of the engineering department will play a critical part in the sites growth plans which includes doubling production over the next 24 months and Capital Expenditure projects to upgrade machinery.
Our client is open to Engineering Managers from various backgorunds, however would strongly welcome applicants from the FMCG, Food, Process & Packaging sectors.
Key accountabilities for the position of Engineering Manager:
- Manage and lead all engineering activities, ensuring planned maintenance is applied to all equipment to achieve maximum site efficiency and minimum downtime.
- To lead PPM and TPM improvements across the plant and manage the site against the following KPIs – Downtime, OEE, PPM, TPM, recovery time, MTBR and MTBF
- Create an efficient and effective engineering function that supports all production activities
- Ensuring that company health & safety, and hygiene policies are adhered to.
- To lead continuous improvement projects and to identify cost savings across all departments
- Responsible for staff training, recruitment, and succession planning and developing the team.
- Opex & CapExBudgetery control
Requirements for the position of Engineer Manager:
Due to the nature of the site, our client is looking for an engineer manager who has a passion for making a difference, an interest in change management and someone who has a strong personality with conviction in their decision making.
- Previous experience working as an engineering manager, maintenance manager or similar capacity.
- Previous experience working within FMCG, Food, Packaging or Process.
- Experience managing a team of maintenance engineers.
- Experience managing engineering budgets.
- Experience leading LEAN, root cause and CI task.
- Strong health and safety knowledge.
- Recongised engineering qualification.
