Mechanical Engineering Lecturer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer for a short-term cover at a reputable college in Derby. This role involves teaching Level 2 and 3 students, with a focus on further maths. The placement is scheduled for the week of 7th-11th October, encompassing 37 hours of teaching.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering lectures and tutorials to Level 2 and 3 Mechanical Engineering students.
  • Preparing educational material and coursework.
  • Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensuring that the curriculum is followed and teaching standards are maintained.
  • Engaging with students to inspire and motivate them in the subject of Mechanical Engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of teaching in a Further Education (FE) setting would be beneficial.
  • Must possess a DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
