Parry Catering Equipment (Midlands) Limited design and manufacture stainless steel catering equipment, standard and bespoke fabrications at our purpose built factory in Draycott, Derby. We are seeking an enthusiastic Manufacturing Design Engineer to join the team.

Manufacturing Design EngineerPosition Overview
Use CAD design tools such as SolidWorks to produce 3D models from initial customer drawings
Interpreting customer designs and where necessary providing recommendations
Evaluating existing standard products and recommending new methods, design changes, revised nesting etc, to reduce manufacturing and assembly time
Collaborate with production personnel during the build process to ensure best practice and support problem resolution
Ensuring products meet the required quality standards
Manage your own workload ensuring adherence to the manufacture schedule agreed with customers and production team
Generating and amending Bill of materials (BOMs)
Assist with any other duties as required by the business in line with your skill set and experience.

Strong background in 3D CAD/CAM design, ideally using SolidWorks
Nesting software (Lantek) experience beneficial but not essential
A flexible and enthusiastic team player with a passion for engineering and problem solving
Demonstrates a practical hands-on approach
Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly
Experience with sheet metal fabrication and equipment would be beneficial but not essential
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a desire to deliver against agreed targets
Computer literate and understand Microsoft Office

Design EngineerPosition Remuneration
Starting salary £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Working Hours 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
