Are you a Mechanical Engineer, from a Rail/Rolling Stock background, looking to join a leading company offering lots of training and opportunities to progress your career and attain chartership?

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the rail industry, looking to work on specialist projects and develop their career.

The Role:

  • Responsible for providing engineering support services for freight and passenger rolling stock projects, predominantly CAD design and structural engineering.
  • Produce drawings and structural assessments using hand calculations and FEA tools.
  • Mixture of office & site based
  • Working on projects from design to completion

The Person:

  • Mechanical Design Engineer
  • 3D CAD experience (solidworks)
  • Rail background (freight, passenger rail)
  • Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a desire to achieve chartered status (company will support this)
  • Some experience with design and structures / FEA analysis (beneficial)
