This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the rail industry, looking to work on specialist projects and develop their career.
The Role:
- Responsible for providing engineering support services for freight and passenger rolling stock projects, predominantly CAD design and structural engineering.
- Produce drawings and structural assessments using hand calculations and FEA tools.
- Mixture of office & site based
- Working on projects from design to completion
The Person:
- Mechanical Design Engineer
- 3D CAD experience (solidworks)
- Rail background (freight, passenger rail)
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a desire to achieve chartered status (company will support this)
- Some experience with design and structures / FEA analysis (beneficial)
