Mechanical Engineer

Contract type: Temporary - Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday - 8am till 5pm - Friday 8am till 2.30pm

Location: Little Eaton, Derby

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer for one of our clients who is a market leader in industrial sealants, coatings, and adhesives. You will need a understanding of chemical and mechanical properties as well as manufacturing processes, to be the lead of the reach and development projects.

As an Mechanical Engineer you will have:
* Have good problem solving skills and be able to work under pressure
* Experience in Auto CAD 3D Design software
* Great Attention to detail
* Excellent IT skills
* Work in line with Health and safety site requirements

Main Duties/Responsibilities

As an Mechanical Engineer, your job duties will usually include:

* Create working prototypes using cutting edge manufacturing equipment and CNC Machines
* Product design - combining knowledge of design, engineering and manufacturing processes
* Plan and carry out development testing of new and existing products
* Design and implementation of new product lines and manufacturing specifications
* Material Handling
* Operating test rigs
*Data analysis, processing and reporting
* Maintaining and updating information held on a data base
* Prepare reports, manuscripts, proposals, and technical manuals
* Compiling, coding, calculating data

Essential requirements:
* Degree in a Materials Science/ Engineering or equivalent
* Experience in of Auto CAD 3D design software
