Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator with expertise in HVAC and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC and air conditioning systems.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather all necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the bidding process.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop value engineering solutions.
  • Maintain an updated database of cost information for labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, pricing, and cost variations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, specifically in HVAC and air conditioning.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
