Your new companyYou will be joining a high-profile and established Tier 1 contractor based in Derby operating in the water sector. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work, being Severn Trent's preferred contractor for the delivery of their MEICA works, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success and significant growth, they are looking to onboard a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working and flexibility to work on projects closest to home.

Your new roleAs Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be based out of their Derby office covering sites in the East Midlands region, and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing and delivering mechanical works on either infrastructure or non-infrastructure water projects
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and resolve potential technical issues
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation, including RAMS and technical reports
  • Developing project scopes and technical specifications
  • Overseeing contractors and suppliers, ensuring works comply with technical, quality and safety standards
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling and budgeting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven mechanical experience in the water industry, working on water treatment or wastewater projects
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
