JG187 - Mechanical TechnicianLocation: Melbourne, DerbySalary: £25,500 + Company Vehicle + Fuel CardOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently supporting a client in the search for a Mechanical Technician.The ideal candidate will be Mechanically focussed and will have come from a Mechanical Assembly / Mechanical Build position and be willing to upskill to become a service engineer.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will undertake the build, service, maintenance and repair of dustless blasting equipment, compressors and air breathing units.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems
- Engine fault finding
- All training will be provided
Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Experience in the build or servicing of engines or similar
- Some driving including towing of trailers will be required
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
