Sonic Summary
- We are seeking experienced Rolling Stock Technicians for a 6-month contract in Derby to perform C4 Overhaul on a fleet of vehicles.
- The position offers a rate of £18.27 per hour PAYE or £24.80 per hour Umbrella (inside IR35) for 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, days only.
- Candidates must have experience in heavy underframe overhaul or heavy maintenance work, with backgrounds in HGV, REME, PSV, or tracked vehicles being considered.
- Essential qualifications include being an experienced engineer qualified to NVQ Level 3, with proven involvement in rail vehicle heavy maintenance activities.
- Successful candidates will need to pass a medical, drug and alcohol test, and a basic DBS check before starting.

The individuals must have experience in some form of heavy underframe overhaul or heavy maintenance works, those from a heavy engineering background will be considered also such as HGV/REME/PSV/Tracked Vehicles etc
Your Tasks
Carry out maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
Working on the underframes of rail vehicles to refit/replace components as part of the overhaul.
Your Profile
Essential:
Experienced engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3.
Proven experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle heavy maintenance activities such as underframe or bogie overhauls.
Understanding of Depot Operations, along with working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering (desirable)
Any successful candidates will be required to pass a Medical, D&A test as well as basic DBS.
