Title: Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Derby (Hybrid - 2 days on site / 3 days remote)
Salary: 70-85,000 + bonus + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading, dynamic consultancy. They will join an experienced team that are working closely with a key client on a major complex construction programme based in Derby.
The Senior Planning Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning and delivery of a significant programme. The Senior Planning Engineer will require expert knowledge of Primavera P6, a strong understanding of NEC contracts, and excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will provide strategic planning insight, robust scheduling, and risk management to drive project success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and project governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide accurate and timely planning information.
- Identify project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to enhance project outcomes.
- Conduct critical path analysis and schedule performance reporting.
- Support progress reporting, including earned value analysis and forecasting
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Senior Planning Engineer on major programmes.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contract frameworks and their application in project planning.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in a consultancy environment is advantageous.
- A proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Derby two days per week, with hybrid working options available.
