Are you an experienced Practice Nurse looking for flexibility and a rewarding role in a dynamic healthcare setting? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Practice Nurse to join our team for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential for a longer-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care, including wound management, immunisations, chronic disease management, and health screenings
- Support GP-led clinics, including management of long-term conditions (e.g.,predominantlydiabetes, asthma, hypertension)
- Administer vaccinations and injections
- Deliver health promotion and education to patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (NMC Pin essential)
- Prior experience working as a Practice Nurse in a primary care or GP setting
- Diploma in diabetes
- Skills in chronic disease management, immunisations, and wound care
- Cervical cytology and vaccination certification
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
