Job Overview:Join our Medicine Therapy and multidisciplinary teams at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will provide flexible and advanced Occupational Therapy services to patients on Medicine/Winter Pressure wards, delivering high-quality care and contributing to effective discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced Occupational Therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide specialist advice and support to healthcare professionals regarding patient management.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Utilize recent acute inpatient ward experience to enhance patient outcomes and therapy delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy and full HCPC registration.
- Demonstrated experience in discharge planning and recent acute inpatient ward work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
