Job Overview:We are currently seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in the General Medicine and Elderly Care department at Royal Derby Hospital. This role focuses on providing high-quality care in an acute setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic care for patients in acute medical settings for elderly patients
- Manage and coordinate discharge planning to support patient transitions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months NHS experience
- Expertise in elderly care and general medicine
- Ability to manage a complex caseload independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
