Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our acute stroke and neuro team. This role involves working closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for patients in an acute inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments for acute stroke patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with MDT members and ensure accurate documentation.
- Manage a dynamic caseload, prioritizing patient needs for timely and safe discharges.
- Prescribe adaptive equipment and aids to enhance patient independence.
Key Requirements:
- Hold an Occupational Therapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration.
- Minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke/neuro setting.
- Evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training.
- Strong understanding of stroke conditions and Occupational Therapy models.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Proficient in managing caseloads and computer literate.
