Job Overview:We are looking for a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient team at UHDB. The role involves assessing, treating, and managing a variety of inpatients while working closely with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure effective care and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, treat, and manage a diverse inpatient caseload.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the MDT.
- Ensure safe and timely discharges with appropriate support in place.
- Handle challenging conversations with professionalism and sensitivity.
- BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered.
- Minimum 6 months of NHS experience.
- Strong MDT communication skills.
- Experience in inpatient settings, including discharge planning.
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive discussions.
- No remote working - on-site role.
