A college in Derby is seeking an Animal Care Lecturer for a temporary full-time position lasting approximately 6-8 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Level 1 and 2 Animal Care courses.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lectures to students enrolled in Level 1 and 2 Animal Care courses.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to improve course content and teaching methods.
- Degree in an Animal Care related subject.
- Teaching qualification is desirable.
- Experience teaching Levels 1-3 in Animal Care.
- Industry experience working with animals.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
