Job Title: Plumbing and Gas Lecturer

Position: Part-Time/Full-Time

Location: Various sites across Derby

Rate: £25p/h - £35p/h including holiday pay

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Gas Lecturer to join our educational team in Derby. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, practical education in plumbing and gas installation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in nurturing the next generation of skilled tradespeople, providing them with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to excel in the industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and informative lectures and practical sessions in plumbing and gas installation.
Develop and prepare comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that meet curriculum goals and objectives.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their potential.
Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Stay updated with the latest developments and technologies in the plumbing and gas sectors to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and expand program offerings.
Participate in departmental and college activities, and engage with industry partners to enhance the educational program.

The successful Lecturer will have the following skills and qualifications:

Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education
Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
Extensive professional experience in plumbing and gas installation, with a comprehensive understanding of industry practices and regulations.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths to adults online
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
