Astute Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with an established business who are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temporary 6-month contract.

Based in Derby you will be responsible for processing payroll, while working as part of a team ensuring ownership of work.

Duties:

  • Accurate and punctual processing of payroll, resolving any queries
  • Process timesheets for employees
  • Ensure all Payroll related records are maintained
  • Processing all manual calculations as required
  • Process Attachment of Earnings orders
  • Give information to enable the reconciliation of the payroll control accounts and advances
  • Make sure information regarding payroll is explained clearly and queries are handled courteously and confidentially
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Provide advice on regulations to managers and staff where necessary
  • Provide cover during annual leave/sickness absence
  • Maintain and update knowledge of payroll and pension regulations
  • Attend team building away days

Required Skills and Experience:

  • End to end payroll
  • Strong I.T skills
  • Communication skills to liaise with other departments
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • 37.5-hour week
  • Hybrid 2 days work from home once up to speed
