Client Details

Our client is a large and successful business, which is part of a large Group of companies. You will be based 3 days per week from the site near Alvaston Park in Derby and 2 days per week from home.

Description

You will be working as part of a small HR team and will be reporting into the HR Manager. Your role will be a mix of payroll and HR duties. You do not need experience of working in HR, as training and support will be provided. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Payroll Duties:

  • Collating and sending the monthly payroll data for c. 150 employees, to the external payroll provider.
  • Liaising with managers and employees regarding hours worked.
  • Supporting the employees with their payroll queries.
  • Supporting the finance team with payroll queries.
  • Calculating holiday pay.
  • Producing payroll reports.

HR Duties:

  • Maintaining and keeping employees files and details updated.
  • Support with recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Assisting with employee relations issues e.g. disciplinary and grievance.
  • Supporting with ensuring HR programs and services are in compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Supporting with preparing HR reports for HR projects.
  • Conducting audits of HR activities to ensure compliance.

Profile

To apply for this position you do not need experience of working in HR, as training and support will be provided, but you must:

  • Have recent experience of working in payroll
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work as part of a small, supportive and friendly team

Job Offer

  • £28,000
  • Annual bonus of up to £4,200 (15% of annual salary)

  • Standard hours are 8-5 with 1 hour for lunch but these could be varied
