We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join a well respected business in Derby on a part-time basis. Working 16 hours per week on Mondays and Tuesdays, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience looking for a flexible role within a supportive and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time for approx 200 employees Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with current legislationHandling payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely mannerCalculating holiday pay, sick pay, and other statutory entitlementsSupporting the HR and Finance teams with payroll-related tasks

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a payroll role (essential)Strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation

Experience in SAGE payroll is desirable Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and problem-solving skillsProficient in payroll software and Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently and meet deadlines
