Compliance Manager
- Annual Salary: £40,000 D.O.E

Reed are collaborating with a well-established legal firm with a strong presence across multiple locations. We are seeking a Compliance Manager with experience in the legal sector to join our busy practice management team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior partners and contribute significantly to maintaining and enhancing operational and compliance standards within the firm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including legal, quality standards, data protection, and cyber security.
- Maintain and regularly review the firm's office manual, reporting forms, records, and registers.
- Draft and update policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and implemented across the firm.
- Develop and oversee the annual training plan, including preparing training materials and presentations.
- Stay informed about new legislation and changes affecting the business, ensuring the firm's policies and procedures are up-to-date.
- Assist with queries related to the firm’s policies, procedures, and compliance issues.
- Support the firm’s strategic planning and documentation of business objectives.
- Conduct due diligence on outsourcing arrangements and manage the firm’s status on lender panels.
- Manage administrative tasks on court and other portals, ensuring user lists are current.
- Coordinate data destruction in line with data protection principles.
- Handle reaccreditation applications and manage audits for Lexcel, CQS, and WIQS.
- Monitor client care policies and update terms of business and associated templates as necessary.
- Collect and analyse client satisfaction reviews, reporting findings to partners.
- Arrange site maintenance and oversee new projects with support from the HR Manager.
- Manage social media, review platforms, and advertising campaigns.
- Negotiate and renew insurance and utility contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations, Lexcel Standard, CQS Core Practice Management Standards, and WIQS Core Practice Management Standards.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritise tasks, and work to strict deadlines.
- Technical proficiency and strong IT skills.
- Excellent command of English for proofreading and publishing documents.
- Effective communication skills, serving as a main point of contact with advisors, regulators, and other third parties.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport, with willingness to travel between the firm’s offices as needed.
